Crandon Park Beach
Crandon Park Beach
The beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the United States, is one of the many attractions at the gorgeous Crandon Park. Dozens of palm trees along the two miles long beach provide shaded areas for a picnic out of the sun.

The beach has an offshore sandbar that makes the brilliant blue water calm for children to play and for adults to relax. The sandbar changes constantly because of seasonal squalls, storms and currents, and many people enjoy to swim to it and walk along its length.

At the south end of the beach, there are cabanas for rent with showers, availabe on a first-come, first-served basis. On the north end, you will find a roller skating area, a playground, a carousel, a golf course and the famous tennis center where the Sony Ericsson Open is held every March.

Lifeguards are positioned in thirteen elevated towers throughout the beach from 9:15 am to 4:45 pm during November through March, and from 9:15 am to 6:45 pm during April through October. Parking is available for over 3,000 vehicles.

Bill Baggs Beach

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park Beach
Ranked the No.7 best beach in the USA by Dr.Beach in 2013, it is located on the south tip of the island. As Dr.Beach says, you will find here "clear, emerald-colored waters and gentle surf. This fine, white coral sand beach is great for swimming, as waves are knocked down by a large sand shoal offshore". Note that there are no lifeguards. You will also find  a bike path, nature trails, a sea wall that's a great spot for fishing, as well as our beautiful lighthouse (check the map below for activities details, as well as this page for details on the lighthouse).

Hobbie Beach Virginia Key
Hobbie Beach (or Windsurfer Beach)
Located just accross the Rickenbacker Causeway, when arriving to Key Biscayne, it's one of the best places for windsurfing in Florida because of the constant winds across the inlet. In 2009 it was completely redone, giving it a new and cleaner look, parking spots were installed and a beautiful walkway was created all along the beach. Miami Catamarans rent Hobie Cats from $60/hour and also offer sailing lessons for beginners on the beach. Hobie Beach is also very popular among dog owners that bring them to play around.

Important: Please respect Key Biscayne beach regulations!
